Hillsborough County stands out as the metro area's business hub and a projectable test market Hillsborough County (Tampa), the business hub of the metro area, attracts younger adults because of diverse industries and a growing economy.

The populations of the counties that comprise the Tampa Bay MSA have similar characteristics with regard to gender, race and household size.
